Rossana Estanqueiro is a Geographer. Graduated in Geography and Regional Planning (2002), Master in Territorial Management (2007) and PhD in Geography and Territorial Planning, specialization area in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (2012). Researcher integrated in History, Territories and Communities NOVA FCSH Hub of the CFE – CENTRE FOR FUNCTIONAL ECOLOGY – Science for People & the Planet, Associate Laboratory TERRA of the Faculty of Science and Technology of University of Coimbra (since March 2022). Between 2016 and 2020 was Coordinator of the Research Team (RT): Geographic Modelling, Remote Sensing and Data Infrastructures, integrated in Research Group(RG4): Socio-Spatial Modelling and Planning of the CICS.NOVA Interdisciplinary Center for Social Sciences of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, and also representative member of the RG4 in the dynamic committee of the CICS.NOVA Ideas Laboratory.
Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Regional Planning (DGPR) of NOVA FCSH, where since 2012 she teaches aggregate subjects in the area of geographic analysis, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems for territorial and urban planning. Between 2017 and 2023 she held the position of Departmental Mobility Coordinator (ERASMUS +) of the DGPR (NOVA FCSH), and between 2023 and 2024 she was the Coordinator of the Undergraduate degree in Geography and Regional Planning.
