Karen Bennett is Associate Professor in Translation at Nova University, Lisbon, and a researcher with the Centre for English, Translation and Anglo-Portuguese Studies (CETAPS), where she coordinates the Translationality strand. She is general editor of the journal Translation Matters and member of the editorial board of the Brill series Approaches to Translation Studies. Her recent publications include Hybrid Englishes and the Challenges of and for Translation (Routledge 2019) co-edited with Rita Queiroz de Barros, and special issues on Intersemiotic Translation (Translation Matters 1.2), Translation Under Dictatorships (Translation Matters 2.2) andInternational English and Translation (The Translator 23.4).
