3rd Hinge Epistemology Conference: Hinge Epistemology and Religious Belief
O Instituto de Filosofia da Nova, em colaboração com a Universidade da Califórnia, Irvine (EUA) e a Universidade de Hertfordshire (Reino Unido), convida a uma conferência com a duração de dois dias sobre “epistemologia-dobradiça” [hinge epistemology].
“3rd Hinge Epistemology Conference: Hinge Epistemology and Religious Belief” decorrerá de 7 a 8 de junho, no Colégio Almada Negreiros (Sala CAN A224).
Esta conferência é organizada no âmbito do projeto financiado pela FCT “Epistemologia da Crença Religiosa: Wittgenstein, Gramática e o Mundo Contemporâneo” (PTDC / FER-FIL / 32203/2017, PI: Nuno Venturinha).
Two-day conference on Hinge Epistemology, hosted by the NOVA Institute of Philosophy (IFILNOVA) at the NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal), in collaboration with the University of California, Irvine (USA), and the University of Hertfordshire (UK).

Papers will address (positively or critically) the application of Wittgenstein’s notion of ‘hinges’ or ‘hinge certainty’ to religious epistemology but also to epistemological problems in any discipline. The conference will be held in English, and peer-reviewed proceedings will be published in an edited volume of the series Anthem Studies in Wittgenstein.
