Since 2024, the academic project TravelconT has been part of Tourism4SDGs.org, a United Nations platform for Sustainable Development applied to Tourism (
https://tourism4sdgs.org/research/travelcont/).
Based on 3 principles (Learn, Share and Act) Tourism4SDGs aims to use tourism as an instrument of education, debate and action in the implementation of sustainable and regeneration practices.
TravelconT is therefore a member of the LEARN – RESEARCH category, as it is based on an academic project that has an effective impact on civil society.
Specifically, TravelconT aligns with the SDG targets for tourism in objectives 4, 11, 15 and 17:

- 17. Strengthening means of implementing and revitalizing global partnerships for sustainable development
17.14. Encourage and promote effective public, public-private and civil society partnerships, based on the experience of local resource mobilization strategies
Enhancing and empowering scenarios and resources, TravelconT aims to consolidate solutions and practices based on an integrated knowledge of enjoying destinations in a responsible way, with purpose and commitment, adding value to them and thus responding to a societal challenge of utmost importance for the future of the planet and the leisure trip.
